From the Office:

Melissa Avery, Indiana family law lawyerMelissa Avery is the newest member of the Family law Group, joining the team in October. Along with nearly 20 years of family law litigation experience, Melissa recently became a registered mediator and also has a collaborative law practice. She will add Parenting Coordination to her skill set later this month after completing the ISBA training.

May 7th-10th was the ABA Family Law Section Spring Conference in Bermuda. Melissa Avery was the c0-chair of the CLE committee; Melanie Reichert discussed “How to Divide Assets in the Digital Age;” Nissa Ricafort and Erin Durnell also attended and earned CLE credits.

May 8th-9th, BKR Family Law hosted the CIACP Basic Collaborative Law training. Joni Sedberry serves as Vice President and Melanie Reichert serves as President.

Future lawyers will learn what it’s like to practice family law and make new contacts from Amanda Blystone, Erin Durnell, Jesse Pace, Melanie Reichert and Nissa Ricafort. These attorneys are participating in the Indianapolis Bar Association’s “Take a Law Student to Lunch” event on May 15th.
