From the Office:
The 2016 ABA Section of Family Law Fall CLE Conference was held on October 19-22 in Quebec, Canada. Melanie Reichert presented, with Drs. Bart Ferraro and Phillip Stahl, to the attendees as part of a plenary session titled “Guidelines for Working with Personality Disorders in Family Law.” Melissa Avery will chair the section beginning in August 2018. Our BKR family law team enjoyed supporting the Indianapolis Bar Foundation at the Evening Under the Stars event at the Biltwell Event Center. The dinner and auction raised around $80,000 to continue the Foundation’s efforts to provide access to justice for members of our community. Nissa Ricafort, Erin Durnell and Melanie Reichert will be attending planning retreats in November for the Indianapolis Bar Association and Indianapolis Bar Foundation as part of their duties as board members.
Melissa Avery will be attending the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Annual Meeting in Chicago on November 2-4th as part of her duties as a member of the Board of Governors.
Melanie Reichert will present, with Dr. Randall Krupsaw, on Relocation in Family Law Cases on November 10, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Jury Assembly Room of the Hamilton County Justice Center. The one-hour CLE is sponsored by the Hamilton County Bar Association.
BKR is a proud sponsor of the Zionsville Education Foundation’s Barn Bash on Saturday, November 5, 2016, which is a fun way to raise funds to promote academic excellence in Zionsville schools. Jennifer Hostetter is a member of the Board of Directors for ZEF.
Our office will be closed Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th for the holiday weekend. Gobble Gobble!
