August 2017

From the Office:

  • Erin Durnell is serving on the planning committee for the 2017 Indianapolis Bar Foundation’s Evening Under the Stars. This is the Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year, and proceeds support the IndyBar Association’s pro bono programs, scholarships, and educational efforts. The Foundation’s work helps the Association to make an impact in the Indianapolis community and provide legal services to those who would not otherwise be able to afford them. This year’s event is Friday, September 8, 2017 at Crane Bay Event Center, and includes dinner, cocktails, and silent and live auctions. NEW this year is an after-party with live music and dancing. Individual tickets are available, as are sponsorships – if interested, contact Erin at [email protected].
  • Melissa Avery and Nissa Ricafort will be attending the American Bar Association Annual Meeting in New York City August 10-12 where Melissa will become the Chair Elect of the Family Law Section.
  • The Hamilton County Bar Association Bar Bench lunch will be held on August 17, 2017 from 11:30 to 1:30 at the Mill Top Event Center in Noblesville. Melanie Reichert is the current HCBA vice president.
  • The AFCC Indiana Annual Conference and Meeting of Members is scheduled for September 29, 2017 from 8:30 to 4:30 at Chateau Thomas Winery, with a social and wine tasting afterward. Melanie Reichert is the current AFCC Indiana President.
