June 2016

From the Office:

Several of our attorneys will be attending The Bench Bar Conference on June 16-18 at French Lick Springs Resort and Spa. It’s not often lawyers and judges can mix work and fun, but for more than 20 years the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Bench Bar Conference has become known as the premier event to do just that. Attracting more than 300 attorneys, judicial officers and guests, the Bench Bar Conference has a loyal following and a great reputation as one of the most valuable CLE events offered in the region. Melanie Reichert will present on the topic of teenage children resisting parenting time at the Bench Bar Conference, and BKR is sponsoring the Trivia competition to support the Indianapolis Bar Foundation.

Melissa Avery was elected Vice Chair of the American Bar Association Family Law Section for 2016-2017 and will also serve as Vice-Chair of the By-Laws Committee and Diversity Committee.

Courtney Einterz joined BKR’s Family Law Group as our summer intern. Courtney currently attends Depauw University. Welcome to the team!

Congrats to Nissa Ricafort and her husband Mike for participating in the Indianapolis Mini Marathon on May 7th.
