Erin Durnell, Meagan Winters, Jesse Pace, Nissa Ricafort, Melanie Reichert and Melissa Avery attended the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Bench Bar Conference in Louisville, Kentucky from June 18-20th.

Nissa Ricafort presented at one of the sessions regarding strategies for successful parenting coordination.  The conference provided a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends in the law and to socialize with fellow attorneys and judges.

The CIACP summer meeting was held on July 9th with election of new officers. Joni Sedberry is president elect and Melanie Reichert is the current president.

On June 26-27th, Erin Durnell participated in the Conclave on the Education of Lawyers in Indiana, a program of the Indiana State Bar Association and the Supreme Court of Indiana. A Conclave is held every few years, and participation is by invitation only to approximately 120 individuals. This year’s theme was “The Future of Legal Education and the Profession,” and former Indiana Chief Justice Randall T. Shepard, ABA Task Force on Legal Education Chair, offered the keynote address. Additional speakers and participants included deans and professors from Indiana’s law schools, former and current Indiana Supreme Court justices, and other notable judges and lawyers from across the State.

Melissa Avery will be participating in a training session on July 9th with Child Advocates to become a Guardian Ad Litem for children in local court proceedings.

Jesse Pace will be attending the ABA Family Law Trial Advocacy program in Boulder, Colorado on July 11-18th.
